So every Thursday as I drive to school I listen to a radio station called 93.1. They have a radio segment on around 8 that they call war of the roses. I have hard about 4 of these segments...and I am not sure why I continue to listen...because I am always disturbed afterwards...however...no matter how much I want to turn the channel I can't make myself...I just want to keep listening....
So this is how the war of the roses works: a person calls the radio station if they think their partner is cheating on them. The radio calls the person posing as a flower delivery company and offers them a free dozen roses to send to whoever they want. They say they are absolutely free...and all they need to do is tell someone about their company. So the whole time the radio station is talking...their partner is listening in on the other side-secretly hoping that their partner sends the flowers to them...not to some other person.
So lets get to today's segment.....it was the worst one that I have heard so far. This girl calls in to the radio station because she thinks her husband is cheating on her. (they had been married 8 or 10 years-i can't quite remember) She said she had a few reasons why she thought her husband was cheating, she named two. 1- the other day she accidentally logged onto his e-mail. (it had saved his password and she clicked on) and she noticed a e-mail from her friend (heather....don't know why I can remember the friends name but not hers or her husband...any who) In the e-mail she has sent him provocative pictures of herself in her Halloween costume. The wife finds this very odd...and she had not received any of these pictures. The second thing she says is that one day during the summer she had to work late, and when she got home she asked her husband what he did all day. He says he went swimming....she asks where? he says he went to heather's house. She found this odd as well....because it was HER friend before they married...and how weird that he went over her house to go swimming with her without his wife.
So they call the guy and he answers.....and they tell them their whole spiel...and he accepts...almost instantly! (the other times I had heard these segments the guy took a LOT more coaxing to say yes) instantly he is like I can say anything on the card? He is like I want to write you look better naked on the card. Then they ask, who are you going to send the flowers to.....and big surprise...he sent the flowers to heather! even though I totally see it coming I instantly feel horrible for the wife.
She is crying hysterical and is so upset you can't even understand what she is saying! Like I said I don't know why I waste my time listening to this...its pretty much the same story over and over. I feel sick for these girls...and hatred for these guys! There is no excuse for cheating! But it's so captivating to me...I can't not listen..haha
So if you enjoy listening to drama like I do....tune in Thursday at 8:00...you will be in for a treat..kinda like Jerry Springer on the radio..hehe....I hope that one day I hear the guy isn't cheating...that will give me hope that all guys out there aren't cheaters...ha
So that brings me to day 34: Post a picture of your childhood house.
I took these pictures when I went back to Ohio a few years ago. The owners did not keep the house up....it's as if they just let the house go. So just be for warned that the house is not in the condition it was when I was a little girl and my mom took care of the house! However, just looking at the pictures brings back so many memories that I have in that house. :) Also...you can't see it in this picture...but the mailbox still has our last name on it! Geez people are so lazy they can't even change the name on the mailbox over 16 years later!

Day 33
Felt very productive today...called coach....argued with them...that was an interesting beginning to my day....filled out my application to renew my teaching license....went and got a money order to pay for my teaching license....and drove to the office and actually renewed my license! I know....I rocked it today!!!
Yesterday was productive as well. This weekend I had 2 goals....1- to update my phone.....and 2-to grade a mountain (and when I say mountain I mean Everest) of papers.....and guess who checked off my two goals! Yup...I updated my phone...and the update is AMAZING! not as amazing as the new iphone...but I'll take it till I get the new one.....and I graded all the papers...only took me 6 hours....and that is not an exaggeration! I told you it was Everest!
The new update on the phone has this new feature where you can make a checklist and actually check things off. I made a checklist for today....and checked off all the things I did today....i liked how it said COMPLETE.....so much that I made a checklist of things I need to do tomorrow. :) This iphone has just made my life so much better! :D
Day 33: Post a picture of a wild night....I usually get rid of the evidence of such nights....hehe...therefore the only picture I can find is this one...on the way out for a scavenger hunt at my friend Amanda's bachelorette party.....note my name tag...lol Cherry! :)

Day 32
Watching Beauty and the Beast! I love Disney movies! Especially the older ones...they bring back memories from when I was little. (Aladdin comes on next!---woo hoo) Didn't do much today....just cleaned the kitchen and watched a few things on my dvr. I also went to my goddaughter's volleyball game! It was very cute! They played three games and they won one! Not too bad...the last game they lost by only 2 points! I really enjoyed it and I think I'll go back again! :D
Day 32:
Post a picture of a tradition you have
This one was a little hard for me. I know my family has traditions...I just had a hard time thinking of them! hehe When I think of traditions Christmas instantly comes to mind! I feel like we have a lot of holiday traditions...mostly Christmas ones... One of our traditions that we do every year since I was little is make sugar cookies from scratch...with homemade frosting to top them off. They are DELICIOUS!!!! we used to make them at my aunt's house when I lived in Ohio...and it was an all day affair. We would make at least a hundred probably more! One year we even made so much we took the ingredients to my aunt's work (she worked at a restaurant) to mix the dough in their dough mixer in the back! Making the dough...then rolling it out...and cutting the cookies out....it was a big deal! But after making all the cookies the decorating part took even longer! We would color the frosting all different colors and even put sprinkles and other embellishments on it! Now we don't make quite as many cookies.. but it's still a fun tradition!

day 31
Late! I absolutely HATE to be late. I am usually not late...if I can help it.....However this year I went from not being late once to work to being late 3 times! I accredit my being late to the construction...thanks good ole' state of Nevada for deciding to put construction ALL over the valley making my commute to work that much more fun! Let me paint a picture for you: I leave my house early already-at around 7:30ish to get to work by 8:26. That gives me almost an hour to get to work. Before the construction it took me around 20-30 minutes to get there. Allowing me an extra 20 to 30 minutes to do stuff in the classroom. Now if I leave at 7:30 I get to work at 8:20 or even right on time at 8:26. Therefore construction has added 20 minutes at least to my commute! I could take boulder all the way down...however I can't stand driving on surface streets just to be stopped at EVERY stoplight on the way there. Then it will take me just as long as if I was on the freeway stuck in traffic. Plus my car gets way better gas mileage on the freeway....as long as I'm not stuck in traffic..haha.
Ok..now fast forward to today: my 3rd and hopefully final day I am EVER late to work. I left almost 15 minutes earlier than I usually leave...because I wasn't staying late...and I needed to print some things so I could make copies during prep. However, there was construction almost from my driveway. ugh...I could tell it was going to be interesting drive this morning. I finally get on the freeway and there are 2 accidents! Traffic is STOPPED. I am stuck in the far left lane...and no one can let anyone over...hence we are stopped....we finally start moving and I am perplexed at how slow the traffic is going....I am purposely in the left lane because they have the right lane closed...due to construction...and usually the left lane is the lane to be in...because it goes a little faster than the others....however today they had changed the closed lane to the left lane. I can't express how irritated I was....just when I thought I had it figured out. So...I get to work 10 to 15 minutes late....and I was also late to a meeting....did I mention that I left 15 minutes early today...haha....thank goodness I had left early or I might have been rolling in when school was starting! Can you imagine?
I'm a little disappointed tonight...no..not because of the construction...but because today was the tenth anniversary of sushi mon. They were having their all you can eat sushi for only $10! It is normally like $26. So Heather and I head over right after work so it hopefully won't be "too busy" We get there and the place is overflowing...literally. There are people outside...and pouring out the door! We finally get in..and the hostess says: We aren't taking any names for the list until 5:00 (it was 4:20) and then it's at least a 4 to 5 hour wait.....yes that isn't a typo...4-5 hour wait! So needless to say no sushi tonight! Bummer...that was such a good deal...the extreme couponer in me was excited....also I really really wanted some sushi! I woke up dreaming of sushi....for real..haha
Ok...now for the 100 day photo challenge: Day 31 post a picture of something that always makes you smile: my bella....she always makes me smile...even when she is being the biggest brat imaginable....I can't help but smile...i guess that means I love her :)
and a close up of her little paws..she's so cute how she has her little feet crossed....oh how she makes me smile!

shuffling
There are always those special times in the classroom...something that makes that specific day stand out. Ever watch that show "Kid's say the darnedest things", well it's true they do say and do the darnedest things...that brings me to my story: I'm calling it shuffling..hah
So everyday I do a RTI group for 30 minutes. I work with 5 boys...3 from my class and 2 from other teacher's classes. Yesterday when I was working with my group..usually we work on different sounds...build words....and then we read a book usually containing the word pattern we were working on during the group time. Since yesterday was Halloween..I thought that maybe instead of reading a book we would play a game. So we did the sounds...built the words...and completed the worksheet and we proceeded to play a game. The game is a card game similar to uno...called crazy eights short vowels. So before I divey out the cards I start shuffling the cards....and I'm just shuffling them regular....nothing too fancy....and the kids were saying wow you are good at that! I said...this is called shuffling....all of the sudden out of no where one of the boys breaks out into song: The song by LMFAO called party rock anthem..i believe. He's singing/rapping.."everyday I'm shuffling...shuffling..shuffling.." It was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing and the other boys started to chime in as well. They are moving their hands as if they are rapping...it was priceless. Next the same boy who initiated the song stands up and starts to dance around. It really was HILARIOUS!!!! It is moments like this that remind me why I became a teacher!
Click the link to watch a video. ...the shuffling part is around the 3.40 mark..haha....I believe the dance he was doing is in the video...:D

Day 30: Post a picture of something you are scared of: Spiders! I don' t know WHY I am sooooooo scared of spiders! In my class I've been teaching the kids about spiders...and how they help us out by killing other pests that annoy us, and they are really more scared of us, blah blah blah...however...I am still EXTREMELY scared of spiders! Most people are!
