yay for 3-day weekends...It's just what the doctor ordered...if I had gone to the doctor that is..haha
Been gone for a few days....here's a small recap....
The past week at school was full of events! Monday was our 100th day! I usually go all out for 100th day but this time it was a little less extravagant. I sent home a letter requesting materials for a 100 day snack....10 items that we combine to make a baggie of 100 items making a sort of trail mix. The kids brought in some (not all) of the stuff...so I had to improvise. The kids never knew :) We also made necklaces out of 100 fruit loops. (on the letter requesting materials I asked for fruit loops...and got 9 boxes!- we will be having fruit loops for a while for snack in our classroom!) and 100 day hats...with 100 dots from bingo dobbers. Then we did a competition how many times we can write our name in 100 seconds....how many times we can jump up and down, etc. in 100 seconds. It was a successful 100th day...
Tuesday was Valentine's day! We had a Valentine's day party and sorted and graphed conversation hearts. I got a lot of presents...including two balloons, chocolate, and a lot of cards! I love my kids they are so sweet! :) I got my kids some presents as well. Small valentine themed tumbler cups filled with candy, a valentine card, and some fun dip. There was also a candy stick with a jelly hand made animal on it. They were so freaking cute! :)
My dad and I went to a hockey game on Friday....they lost....
On Saturday we went to a game as well. My mom's friend's from work were supposed to join us for dinner, and the game, but one of them was sick, so my mom invited a friend and her daughter. It was nice, because they surprised me at the game! We had a nice time...and they won! :)
I am going to a game tonight as well. 3 nights in a row! This game is special because it is a midnight game....and it's supposed to be circus themed. Normally I wouldn't go to a midnight game...but because tomorrow is President's day...and there is no school...I figured why not. It's gonna be fun! I hope they win. :)
that gets you all caught up....
So now for day 39...Post a picture of the favorite part of your day
I was going to post this post a few days ago...so let's just pretend that I did...hah
Monday night I came home to a Valentine's Day surprise from my dad! A beautiful pot of purple tulips...my most favorite flower! :) It was really the best part of my day....I love him! :) I keep looking at them...and it just makes me smile!

Day 38
So....had a horrendous headache most of the day. I felt like someone was stabbing a pen through my eye into my brain! Then to top it off...no advil! :( boooo I requested headache medicine through interact to all my lovely teacher friends out there in the land of interact....thankfully a LOT of people were nice enough to offer me ibuprofen. No I did not take everyone up on their offer (cause that would have probably caused an overdose..lol).... but boy oh boy..it was one whopper of a headache. I didn't have a headache from the beginning...it was kinda a dull ache...and then all the sudden..BAM...pen through the eye into my brain! The kids were so good...they talked lower...and tried not to make my headache worse. Thankfully my class is wonderful this year.
I also had plans to go to this training after work, however after map questing it I realized that it was about 20 minutes away from the school in the opposite direction of my house....making it like a 40-50 minute drive on the way home...so I decided to cancel. Dinner tonight at my house...Breakfast for dinner...yay! :) Oh...and my headache is gone....
Day 38
Post a picture of the people you spend most of your time with
I have a few groups of people that I spend time with....so....I'm refraining to the good ole Halloween photo from last year...it has almost everyone...except my creative kid group :)

zzzzzzz
Typical Monday......I'm EXHAUSTED..therefore....I will just post the photo for the day: day 36......Post a picture of a pet peeve....
I have different pet peeves....but one that has been bugging me a lot lately is when people post a status or something on facebook or send an e-mail or text and they use the wrong word...like their, there, and they're, or your, or you're......sometimes I go to correct...and then it takes all I have to not hit submit/send. Must be the teacher in me.. lol....come on guys...it's not that hard! :)

Day 35....
Today was the super bowl...I'm pretty sure I am in the minority here...but football isn't really my thing. I always watch the super bowl...but I think my favorite part is the snacks, commercials, and the half-time show. We made a smorgasbord (spelling) of snacks...from guacamole, chili cheese dip, mozzarella sticks, and various other stuff that is bad for you..in other words..YUM...watched the game...including some pretty funny commercials...and Madonna was really good.....then the end of the game was pretty exciting.....It ended with a slice of cookie cake with a big football in the middle. :) Pretty good day today....Go Giants!!!
I didn't complete a few things I wanted to this weekend.....I feel like there isn't enough hours on the weekend to get everything done! I have some work to do on the yearbook, and some grading that didn't get done. I would do it now...but if I grade before I go to bed my brain doesn't shut off and I have a hard time falling asleep.
alright....today is day 35....and it's post a picture of your favorite place to eat....
Well I would post a picture of my mom's house...haha....since I eat there almost everyday...however I am going to interpret it as meaning a restaurant. :D
I love love love Olive Garden! I actually ate there yesterday..hehe....Olive garden always brings back great memories from when I was younger. It was always the go-to restaurant for anyone's birthday or any special occasion. I remember eating there with my grandparents a lot....my grandma used to order fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, and to this day...I almost always order this exact dish. Yesterday I ordered a new entree...it was delicious...but my love will always be my grandma and I's dish. Not to mention...the soup, salad, and bread sticks are THE BEST.....and dont' forget the peach tea to wash it all down with! :)

I'm back...with a recap
Been gone a bit. Busy with lots of things....and just uninspired. Someone reminded me that I WAS doing the 100 day challenge....not the 100 day between posts challenge..haha..ok...so I'm back.....Here's what you missed
November:
Class pet Oreo passes :( She got sick with a disease called "wet tail" basically meaning diarrhea, It makes the hamster get extremely dehydrated, and they are not able to keep in valuable nutrients. This was very unfortunate for me...and for my class. I was very close with this hamster. She's been with me for three years and really was one of best hamsters I have ever owned. She will truly be missed! The kids took the death really hard as well. I read this awesome book called Houdini was about a class hamster that died and the kids wrote all the good things that they remember about the hamster. We wrote about Oreo...and the kids said some really inspiring things. :(
I had a lot of events in December.....A bachelorette party in an AMAZING suite.....a wedding reception, an extremely sad tragedy :(, amazon.com gift wrapping community service for the school's PTA, a holiday brunch with my besties, my great aunt's birthday party, my birthday...Christmas....oh...my...the list can go on and on!
For a birthday/Christmas present I splurged and bought myself the iPhone 4s. It's amazing...and i LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Suri has changed my life :)
After Christmas the girls I used to babysit (mentioned in a previous blog) came here to visit. I was so happy to see them. I miss them soooooo much. Seeing them again after so many years was the best experience. I spent a few days with them...we went to the movies, went to the mall, and just hung out. They spent the night at my house and we had a sleepover. It was amazing! (They are to date the ONLY people who have stayed in my guest room)
January
Work was very stressful. Our school is being renovated....they are working through all the rooms re-doing pretty much everything from walls, ceilings, carpet, paint, sinks, etc. and our turn had come. We had to pack up EVERYTHING in our classroom including our filing cabinets, and wardrobes. I...like most teachers I know....have A LOT of stuff....It was exhausting packing everything...not to mention the stress of not having enough boxes, tape etc to pack up the classroom in a timely manner. Did I mention that I was supposed to be teaching my little six year olds this whole time...hah Then movers came and moved the 100 boxes (no this is not a joke...I didn't count the boxes, but there was probably more than 100) and all the furniture into a room probably half the size of my previous room. This all happened over MLK weekend. I spent my 3 day weekend organizing, unpacking, moving and rearranging my classroom. Thankfully my dad came and helped me move the heavy things and brought some of the boxes of stuff I don't really use to my house to be stored in my garage. It was so much fun I can hardly wait to do it again!
Family from Wisconsin joined us for a week-my aunt, uncle, and younger cousin Emma and their brand new Yorkie puppy Winston. It was fun...we didn't do much..but hanging out with family I haven't seen in a while was wonderful.
February....
I am finally settled into my new room...and we were told that we will remain in the portable until the end of the year. I finally feel like things are somewhat back to normal. Thank goodness. I do not do well with change...and I have felt like my life has been turned upside down!
I have free tickets to 6 wrangler games in February-Yay. We went to a game on Thursday and Friday. They are playing the Alaskan Aces who are a very big rival of the wranglers. The Aces come with lots of fans.....and they pretty much buy out the section where we usually sit. They have crazy blue hair hats, these annoying horns, and the loudest cow bells I've ever heard! We lost on Thursday but won on Friday. Today is the last game in the series, and I'm currently watching it now on the CW live! Hockey is my LOVE!!!
A few weeks ago when my cousin Emma was here...we went to Petsmart to get a new hamster for the class. We picked out the cutest hamster...we named her Cinnamon...after the color of her fur. Three days after buying her I noticed she was acting a little strange..listless....and just not normal.....and sure enough..she was sick with wet tail. I felt a huge swell of deja vu. I immediately took her back to the store, where they admitted her into the sick area and began to give her medicine. I just talked today with a representative at pets mart and sadly Cinnamon has passed. I am so disappointed. Tomorrow I will be going back to get my money back...and am weary of getting another from them. I want to replace the class pet for the kids...and I just bought a new wheel, food, water bottle, and house for a hamster who I don't even have now. I don't want to disappoint the kids, but I just don't know if I can handle another hamster death.....this hamster will probably be the last hamster I ever buy....
Ok...now for the 100 day challenge...yes I'm still doing it...haha
Day 34: A picture of your currently most played CD. I have resorted to Cd's...as my ipod has gone missing...I don't know if I just misplaced it...or if it was stolen...but I have been playing Taylor Swift's Speak Now CD for the past two weeks non stop. :)
